As a young girl, I always loved the idea of becoming a mother someday. I dreamt of big family gatherings, endless laughter around the dining table, and children running up and about-basically I have always wanted a full house. Read more

FIVE THINGS TRAVELLING HAS TAUGHT ME.
WE NEED TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF MOTHER EARTH
This one is crucial. The sad reality is many of us who live in and travel to the best places in the world often fail to appreciate and take care of them. It breaks my heart going back to a place only to find it worse than I remember it. If we don’t take care of our natural resources, years from now, there won’t be a reason to travel anymore. There is so much beauty around us, beauty that we MUST preserve so that the future generation can also enjoy it. Read more
PHILIPPINES | ART IN THE PARK AT SALCEDO VILLAGE, MAKATI.
Truly reflective art is born from its culture. It celebrates, rebukes or just showcases the beauty of life that may otherwise go unnoticed. This weekend, I had the opportunity to partake in Art In The Park at Jaime C. Velasquez Park here in Salcedo Village. This is an annual art fair organised by the Museum Foundation of the Philippines Read more
FIVE THINGS YOGA HAS TAUGHT ME.

1. To appreciate and love my body
Thanks to our Anatomy class during Yoga Teacher Training, I became more enlightened, and thus in-tune with my body and its functionality. I am fascinated by how our bodies move, the different muscles and joints manipulated to get into different positions and how to avoid injuries. Because of this, I have become kinder to my body that allows me to move.
2. To Breathe
Breathe away turbulent thoughts and anxiety to achieve relaxation. Only a relaxed mind can deal with all of life’s slings and arrows.
3. To be open to new things
We tend to stay in our comfort zones practicing things we are familiar with, surrounding ourselves with people who share mutual interests. We are controlled by our beliefs and deny ourselves the freedom to try new things, meet new people, and learn new things.
Yoga training was definitely something out of my comfort zone. And as scary as it was, the experience introduced “me” to “myself”.
4. To be mindful
On or off the mat, being mindful is a skill that I am practicing now more than ever, while listening, talking, walking, eating, practicing yoga, doing house chores, or playing with my son.
When we are mindful, we are consciously present. We are more aware of our thoughts; we are living in the present. We are not missing out on life’s little pleasures thinking about the future or the past. We are here, and we feel alive.
5. Practice makes perfect
When we practice something regularly, we can only get better at it, whether it is a yoga pose, a skill, or a new language.
TIPS | FLYING WITH A TODDLER.
1. DOWNLOAD KIDS’ APPS
Before you travel, download some kids’ games or kid-friendly apps to your smartphone. Remember to switch off your phone during takeoff and landing, and put it on Airplane mode. Stickers are also great for keeping children entertained for a while. Alternatively, scan through the airline’s inflight entertainment. I was lucky this time—Qatar Airways had R’s favorite movie, The Good Dinosaur. That was one hour of bliss! Read more
