THE ART OF SELF FORGIVENESS AND HEALING FROM PAST REGRETS.

Forgive yourself for things you didn’t know better. You made decisions based on the awareness, capacity, and emotional tools you had at the time.

Forgive yourself for the situations that made you feel small, slow, or stuck.

Forgive yourself for agreeing to walk alongside people on journeys that did not resonate with your heart.

Forgive the detours you took just to keep company with those who weren’t meant to walk your path.

Forgive the moments you put your calling on pause, assuming there would always be time for you later.

Forgive yourself for accepting so little from people to whom you gave so much.

Forgive the moments you sat through conversations that depleted you.

Forgive yourself for loving people who did not deserve your love and for not loving yourself enough in those moments to demand more.

Forgive yourself for seeing yourself through the eyes of people who didn’t love you.

Forgive the times you allowed people who didn’t have your best intentions at heart to define your worth.

Forgive the times you sacrificed your own peace to keep everyone else comfortable.

Forgive the moments you stayed quiet or folded because you were exhausted or trying to survive.

Forgive yourself for ignoring your body and your heart. Times you kept pushing long past the point of burn-out, ignoring the quiet warnings until your spirit was completely tired.

Let this be the season of forgiving, but not forgetting.

We don’t forget so that we don’t repeat the patterns that hurt us in the past. We hold onto the wisdom, but we lay down the guilt, the shame, and the heavy self-blame.

Redirect all that presence, patience, and boundless love you’ve given to everyone else right back into your own heart.

Let this season be about coming back home to yourself.

Forgive yourself.
