Querceto di Castellina is a family-run organic winery and agriturismo in Chianti Classico. Located in Querceto, between the Sienese towns of Castellina and Radda in Chianti, they host a series of vineyard dinners during summer featuring their organic wines and traditional regional dishes prepared by Ristorante Albergaccio Di Castellina.
Chianti is one of the most beautiful areas in Tuscany. Our drive to Querceto di Castellina was scenic, through lush vineyards and olive groves. Sticking my head out of the car absorbing the colors of the countryside, the awe-inspiring views of small Chianti towns, and the intense and infinite green, it all made sense why Frances Mayes fell head over heels with Italy and wrote the book Bella Tuscany. What’s not to fall in love with?
The evening kicks off with a lovely aperitif on the terrace. We had their Rosé, Furtivo, which I really loved. Its striking freshness and crispness makes it the ideal summer wine. After the aperitivo, we were led to the vineyard where we wined and dined the night away. Our experience was astounding. From the most scenic views to phenomenal hosts to exceptional wine and food, it was a “True Taste of Tuscan countryside” experience.

Wow! This is what I imagined Diner en Blanc to be when I attended 3 years ago. Sadly it didn’t live up but I’m loving these pictures, sounds like a wonderful experience. 😍

Diner en Blanc caters for a bigger crowd so I am not surprised if once in a while it is a flop.
